Hi I’m Laura,
your new floral design coach.
The idea for FlowerKind came from exasperation really. So many things seemed difficult, frustrating, stressful, and scary. So, I wanted to create something that brought joy. I wanted to create something that inspired creativity. And I wanted to create something that would be widely available to many.
I started my very first business in 2003, a FLORIST! I've been working with flowers in one way or another ever since.
The great thing about flowers and plants is that no matter where you are in the world, you can use things in your surroundings to bring joy to your home or joy to your friends and family. I’ve created arrangements using shrubs in my yard, leaves from magnolias, sticks from the woods, and flowers from bushes in my yard. You just have to get a little creative. I’m hoping that FlowerKind encourages you to create and encourages you to share your creations with others. The world could use a little more kindness.

We will provide you with a list of flowers and alternatives for the class! We'll be using the same bunch of flowers for each class.
